Art Vs. The Harridan (or: Are You My Inner Mother?)

This is always my dilemma:

There are many many other things (some of them important) that I need to get done in my day, but what I want to do most is draw. Therefore, every single day I wrestle with myself. Sometimes the lamp wins, sometimes I win, sometimes I can find a nice balance which is where I'd like to live most of the time. Regardless, I'm a much happier, kinder person if I have a little time to draw each day.
