Here is a color version of the comic of the day. My usual technique of drawing and inking, scanning and coloring in photoshop.
Below is the same comic colored by hand with Copic markers. Still some work to be done here I think, with coloring technique... but I'm not ready to give up on it yet. AND it doesn't scan as well, tho I tried several different settings. Don't you just love the process! It's half the fun!
Robin, i LOVE the greyscale one. For some reason i just really like black and white comics more than colored comics. it just makes it seem more personal and hand made. I like how you can see the marker strokes, and it looks better scanned then mine when i use my copic marker. Mine get all grainy when i scan them in.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sam. I really like the greyscale version, too. Especially considering the subject of the comic, the grittiness of the marker one seems very appropriate.
