Suburban Wilderness

I live in one of the prettiest places in the world. My town is on a river and it's very picturesque, small, old timey and I still run into some of my classmates at Target. Even better, right by my house, in the middle of a suburban neighborhood is a little lake that seems like a wilderness! Every once in awhile a deer will find it's way through the neighborhood and munch on the hostas in my backyard. It seems idyllic, and in many ways it is!

We walk almost every day and we got caught out in the rain last night... as we were passing a house we could see the t.v. through their window and it was showing tornado warnings... We made it home safely, but of course we were wet. Outside of being afraid one of us would get hit by lightning, it was really fun! I highly recommend walking in the rain!

  1. Wow, lots of great details here- you make such an awesome composition out of all of it- your eyes are perfectly directed throughout your cartoon, ending on the BOOM!. Sorry, I'm rambling- good Sunday cartoon!

awesome comments about how awesome you are.
That second panel where everyone is saying hi made me giggle btw. It feels like everyone
says hello at the same time when there's a group of people!
This sounds like a really pretty area too!

  5. Amazing layout of your very Disney-esque neighborhood. Good luck dodging those roving bands of elderly Segue riders ;D

  6. Haha, Matt, you have no idea... they're scary all speeding on the bike path and doing tight turns and hops and skidding to a stop right before they hit you. That's what makes it such an adventure.
